Hi, my name is Joe Marshall.  My wife Melissa and I are missionaries in Australia.  On October 31, 2004, we started the Gateway Baptist Church in Palmerston, Northern Territory, Australia.  We are graduates of Crown College and sent out of New England Baptist Church in W. Bridgewater, MA with the help of Baptist International Missions, Inc. 

We are in Australia to plant independent fundamental Baptist Churches and to train national leadership to do the same. Our goal is to train national pastors and leave the work in their hands. The city of Darwin is the capital of the Northern Territory of Australia and has over 100,000 souls consisting of over 50 nationalities. As far as we know, we will be the only independent Baptist missionaries in the whole Northern Territory of Australia, an area roughly twice the size of Texas.
