A Word of Explanation:

Long ago, my pastor challenged me to study God Word more than just a simple reading of a passage.  He challenged me to read the same passage of Scripture for one week and meditate on it.  The reason was the more you become familiar with a passage the better you understand the passage.  Also, the more time you spend on a passage reading and meditating on it, the more time you give the Holy Spirit to use that passage to teach you more about God and your relationship with Him.  Once I began to do this, God truly blessed in my personal study.  So as we start these new devotionals, we are going to try to use this method of study.  That is why you see a passage, today’s reading, and text.  The passage is the entire section that we will be studying, today’s reading is the section we will look at toady, and the text is the specific verse of study.  I pray that this method will be a blessing and help to you as much as it is to me.  Below, you can download and read the study from Luke 17:1-19.
